Summer Tradition

Every 4th of July we go to Half Moon Bay. I hadn't thought of it until now, but it looks like we've started a tradition. We normally hang out in Half Moon Bay and catch the town parade, go to the beach, eat out and go shopping. Then we take another day for a day trip. Last year our day trip was to Santa Cruz and the Beach Boardwalk. This year we went to Monterey and visited the Monterey Bay Aquarium. There is a new section of the aquarium dedicated to sea horses. It's beautiful and we had no idea we'd find sea horses all that interesting.

The best part of this tradition is that it gets us out of the heat for 3-4 days. There's something fun about putting on sweatshirts in July. Next year we've decided that we are just going to hang on the beach the whole time. We'll see...
