Merry Christmas Eve

Most importantly....Happy Birthday Nanny!

Our Christmas Eve tradition is to open 2 presents which are always pajamas and Christmas ornaments. After we did that, we drove over to my friend Joanie's house so we could build a gingerbread train together and spend some time on the Wii. Once we got home, we put out carrots for the reindeers and cookies/water for Santa. At our house, Santa is lactose intolerant.

It was also time to say goodbye to Ginger. Ginger has been living with us for almost 2 complete months and the kids have really grown to love her (even though she is the biggest snitch known to man). The tears started right away once they realized that Santa would be picking up Ginger tonight. They really want to keep her. I would feel bad since their little hearts are broken if I didn't know how much Santa is going to spoil them in the morning.

Lastly, we tracked Santa and saw that he had already been to Florida and New York so the kids hurried off and went to bed. I hope they fall asleep soon. I'd like to get to bed myself...eventually.
