Happy Noon Years Eve!

The girls are getting old enough to understand what New Years is, so we wanted to have a party to celebrate it. The problem is they are too young to stay up until midnight. The solution: a Noon Years Eve party at a mock Time Square in New York City. I had my girlfriends family over and we barbecued, lit the fire pit, let the kids play with silly string and made smores. We started the party at about noon and about 2pm we did the countdown to celebrate the new year. We had horns, party hats and poppers...just like you would at a real New Years Eve party. We had so much fun today, I think we've started a new tradition. The funniest part of the day was when our little neighbor Kevin (he's 7) came over, grabbed a chair and said "we having hot dogs and smores?" just like he'd been invited. He stayed and had a lot of fun too.
