Six

Today the girls are six. They woke up early this morning so excited about going to school on their birthday. Lots of things happening today: a walkathon and a bbq that parents are invited to. Tonight we are having dinner with friends and the girls are excited that they are old enough to order a soda with their meal. The girls were also excited about bringing the fancy cupcakes we made to share with their classroom friends.

Speaking of classroom friends, they had their first birthday party where they invited all of their classmates. Since it's usually so hot in May, we celebrated their birthday the middle of April to have more mild weather. I'll start another post to share about the party.

Kindergarten is just about over (man that went fast!) and the girls are excited to start going swimming again. They are ready for summer!

I got a phone call from the girls teacher last week. My first reaction was "uh oh" when I saw the caller id, however the teacher was calling to say how proud she was of Sophia. Sophia has the most beautiful handwriting when she concentrates. Anyway, Sophia wrote a beautiful paragraph at school and her teacher celebrated her in the classroom and wanted me to know how great she did. She also informed me that she is keeping both of the girls for 1st grade...which is great since they have a fantastic teacher!
