It's an understatement to say that I'm behind. I should have at least had the decency to put up Christmas pics after getting you to Christmas eve. Sorry to leave you hangin!
For Christmas, the girls favorite gifts were the Fur Real Cuddling Kitty. That cat has gone to school and fooled most parents. The other favorite was the new bikes. What kid doesn't enjoy a new bike on Christmas morning? The day after Christmas, we went on our annual Christmas lights walking tour with Rickey, Raeven, Auntie Pat & Auntie Vonnie.
Then we found a self-service dog wash place around town. That is so much fun! I think the girls and I enjoy it a little bit more than Maggie does, but we'll be back again.
In January, my friend Mijo and his wife came to town with their daughter and we met up with a bunch of people we don't get to see often. I think it's very fun to see your children play with your friends kids.
In February, Sidney got selected to be student of the month! Also, the girls got to be in their first performance on stage with their school. Each class was assigned a song and learned a dance routine. The kindergarten class danced to "Honeycomb" and were dressed like bumblebees. I have a cute little video of it, hope that will get posted soon.
Also in February, I had the interior of the house painted and had hardwood floors put in. I don't know how anyone can last through a remodel. We had to move our furniture out into the garage (fridge too) and lived out there while the work was being done. Thank goodness it was a week with great weather! I'm not cut out for major renovations. Thank goodness I didn't know that until AFTER the floors were installed!
For St. Patrick's Day the girls made leprechaun traps for the first time. The leprechauns came to visit during the early morning of St. Patrick's Day. They played their normal tricks, brought real and chocolate coins, and Lucky Charms cereal but we couldn't catch one leprechaun!
Currently the girls are in the process of helping plan their 6th birthday party. This is the first party where they get to invite friends from school and they are excited. They aren't little girls anymore...
