My mom, our neighbor Beverly and myself went down to Wild Bill's yesterday to talk about tattoo prices, make appointments etc. My mom wanted to get a shamrock tattoo on her shoulder blade. Way back when she had seen that John F. Kennedy Jr. had one there and she loved it. For the last couple of years, I have had a tattoo that I really wanted to get. It's the celtic knot sign for motherhood (a heart within a heart). You add dots to represent the number of children you have. Beverly hadn't found exactly what she wanted to do and wanted to go look at the books. So....we get down to Wild Bill's and my mom befriends one of the tattoo artists named Scott. Of course she had to ask if they gave senior discounts and said if he did, then she would send in all of her "over the hill gang" to him to get their tattoos done too. In case you are wondering, yes, she got the senior discount. (If you are one of the "over the hill gang", make your appointments now..the coast is clear.) Scott had openings so he took us right away. My mom's took a whole 7 minutes (just like my shamrock tattoo did). Mine, on the other hand, took 1 hour. It's on the right side of my right calf colored green and orange like in the Irish flag. Sophia chose to be the green dot and Sidney picked the orange one.
Here's our pictures. The tattoos aren't even 24 hours old yet, so the skin is still irrited and will get much better as time goes by. Can you guess which 2 tattoos are fake?
