So many friends/family ask what's happening with the girls and want current pictures that I've started a blog. I'm turning 40 this year and I can't remember who I tell what, who got what picture sent to them so this is the best way for me to keep everyone informed.
A friend of mine (hi Jena) started a blog about her kids which inspired me. To do this, I had to go out and buy a new laptop since my last computer was about 7 years old. Then I had to update my video technology so now I have a digital camcorder. As you know, I'm addicted to my digital camera so I think I have all the necessary equipment to blog successfully. If Jena would never have started her blog, I would have more money in my savings account!
Today we started our search for a dog. Gator will be gone one year on March 18th (we still miss him very much) and the girls are aching for a dog. My family is divided on what kind of dog to get, small or medium. So today we started our search for a small dog. When I called to inquire about the dog, which is half Chihuahua/half Dachsund, the rescue lady lovingly referred to her as the little Chiweenie. At 8:17am, I packed my mom and the girls into the car and off we were to Grass Valley in search of a Chiweenie. I still cannot say that word out loud without giggling. I'm sure the rescue lady made that up. We found the Chiweenie, but we aren't the new owners of one. While we were at the rescue, Sidney preferred the chickens and wanted to adopt one. Safe to say, we aren't the new owners of a chicken either.
We have found some other dogs that we are interested in, however they are already involved in the adoption process. While I'm glad so many people are adopting rescued dogs, I wish they'd pick the ones that I'm not interested in! Stay tuned...the dog hunt continues.
As soon as I figure out how to post pictures and videos, I promise to do so. I've barely figured out how to post a blog (this is my second attempt!) but I'm determined to master this. If you've read this far, it must be because you love us. We love you too!
