Flying....

Ever since the girls started cheering, they both have wanted to be flyers (the girls at the top of the stunts who get flipped into the air). Once I saw their squad, I knew I had to explain to the girls that they were destined to be bases (the girls on the bottom of the stunt lifting up the flyers). There are 4-6 year olds on the squad and my two girls are two of the biggest kids there. We talked about how important being a base was and they were as happy as can be with their important jobs.

Last weekend, the high school girls that work with the little girls, made my girls dreams come true. Sidney was first up and loved every minute of it. She did her entire cheer up in the air and showed no signs of fear. Sophia came next and was scared (who can blame her!). She locked her arms in place and looked down the entire time. When I asked Sophia if she would do it again, she did not hesitate and said yes. After the game, I thanked the high school girls for making that day very special for my girls. They were excited for them too and said they would do it again. We can't wait!
