Camping at Uncle D's

This past weekend we headed up to Uncle Dennis' house to prepare for our vacation. He thought it would be a good idea to have the girls test out the trailer before we drive 3/4 of the state and then find out they won't sleep in it. When we got the tour of the trailer, the girls found Easter eggs hidden in it. That Easter Bunny is pretty creative. The eggs were filled with fruit snacks and two eggs had $5 in them. You would have thought Sophia won the lottery. She wanted to sleep with the money. After that, Uncle Dennis took us all out to cut wildflowers which the girls really enjoyed. He cooked us a great dinner and then we spent time outside playing and blowing bubbles. He really spoiled us and of course we loved it.

Being at the house made me feel much closer to my friend Carol who recently passed away. It was healing to spend some time in her environment but it was very apparent we are all missing someone special to us. I know she was smiling down on us and glad we were there.
