Thanks to everyone who came to the girls birthday party today! We missed those of you who couldn't make it.
While it wasn't cool by any means, it wasn't a scorcher like it has been the last few days. I think the squirt bottle wars helped to keep everyone cool. I'm not sure who had more fun with the squirt bottles...the adults or the kids. I'm putting my money on the adults.
Uncle Dennis made some delicious Mickey Mouse pancakes for our Disney themed party. The kids played with the squirt bottles, got Disney tattoos, played in the bubbles and danced to the sounds of Disneyland in the background. The pinata was a fun time. We weren't going to use a bat for the pinata, but since Ava (who is 2 1/2) pulled out all of the pinata ribbon (hilarious by the way), we got to whack Mickey.
The girls received wonderful birthday presents which we appreciate, but what we appreciate most is that all of our friends came out to party with us in such hot weather. A special thank you to those who had a long drive to get here with small children. A big thank you to Auntie Carol and Uncle Dennis for all of your help with the party. Another big thank you to Uncle Eddie and Aunt Judith for the birthday dresses the girls are wearing.
